  • Ferrite beads employ the dissipation of high-frequency currents in a ferrite ceramic to build high-frequency noise suppression devices. The SMD ferrite bead can transfer high-frequency noise into heat, and ferrite beads may also be referred to as blocks, cores, rings, EMI filters, or chokes. EMI multilayer ferrite chip bead is easy to use in various applications for several reasons. Due to their high magnetic permeability, Ferrite materials are always used at high frequencies. On the other hand, the inductance value is small and the loss is low at low frequencies. Typically, Z (impedance value) is tested at 100 MHz for the highest impedance value. Ferrite chip beads are also called ferrite blocks. This SMD EMI filter has wide impedance characteristics. Their impedance mainly consists of a resistive component. Therefore, when this component is inserted in series with the noise conduction path, it can attenuate the noise content.
